The Lobby Cafe - Metro Manila

Relaxing and pleasant ambiance, as long as others aren't allowing their kids to run around. The breakfast is good. It's a great place to go and read or work for awhile.

Decided to eat here as had to take our 2 month daughter for her regular check up. Ambiance is awesome as we had a live piano playing in the background and always admire very high ceilings of any place especially this place besides the view of 32nd street outside. This cafe is very relaxing and food is very good. I decided to try the Fried Chicken which consists of 3 pieces of fried chicken ribs. The breading is ok and very thick, while the chicken itself is dry so you actually need to mix it with the gravy that comes with it. Oh yeah you also get some free bread at the start with their homemade butter. All in all food ok and ambiance awesome... Love classical piano music :) jaymclean.com

Imagine this... warm rhum cake underlying a scoop of vanilla ice cream with sprinkling of chopped pistachios and drizzling of, yes, cream made of balsamic vinegar. That is Vanilla with Balsamico, one of Lobby Cafe's ice cream delights and one of my favorites. Although the trend in sweets at present is the merging of sugar and salt as exemplified by the dessert cliche salted caramel, vanilla with balsamico deviates from what's in with its own concept of sweet and sour. Imagine this, too... melted cheese overlying strips of premium beef, with the addition of onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and beef au jus, and French fries on the side. That's Cheesesteak Sandwich, with more meat. Its generous size can satisfy two persons.
