Additionally, it's probably one of the last bars in America that still allows indoor smoking, which I find surprisingly comfortable—it really gives me that nostalgic adult vibe. It feels like a blast from the past. I really enjoyed my time here while we were in town!

I love this place. It is covered, the food is good, the customers are all chilled and the bartender was fantastic! I travel all year round across the country and try to meet local places. This is a holder.

The server was excellent. She had long dark hair and was quite busy, but made an effort to check on us whenever she had the chance. However, a staff member asked our group to leave because another group had arrived. We were just trying to enjoy our time without causing any disruption. I think it's unreasonable to expect groups to leave after a set time, especially if reservations are limited. I didn't eat this time, but the wings on the neighboring table looked delicious.

The staff is excellent, and the breakfast has improved significantly. The quality seems to be either lower or there's less attention to detail. The big Bloody Marys are a nice touch, but they are only available during the day. I wouldn't recommend taking my girlfriend there due to the unappealing atmosphere and the somewhat aggressive vibe.

I would call this a dive bar but it was the highlight to my stay in Merrillville. The drinks were a fair price the atmosphere was cool and it had smoking allowed in the bar so that brought me back to how bars used to be and it was just a cool experience. The waitress had to ID us all and we?re in our late 30?s so that was kinda weird but she got nicer as the night went on. The food was another high point for me. I don?t remember what the burger was called but they had a 1 lb burger option that would have been the biggest burger I can remember ever seeing offered at a bar but?.. they also offered it as a double! I finished the 1 lb burger but my friend couldn?t finish the 2lb one. I would go here again next time I?m in town.
