Hadn't been to Gino's since their original location in Illinois, so this was a test run.The roasted peppers are now served as part of the appetizer, and they were as excellent as ever. They also came with warm bread and butter.Menu prices in my mind are fair if one considers the price of meat and vegetables today. Had the barbecued ribs (full slab) for $24, and felt it was a very cost effective dish. Along with the peppers and bread, there is a choice of soup or salad I chose the lobster bisque, but won't do that again and a potato served with the entree. Portions were generous and food was flavorful with the exception of the tomato bread appetizer and the lobster bisque.Service staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience; we will be back.
Best Steak House In Northwest Indiana. I went on line to look at review 's for Gino 's Steakhouse, and if you go by the review 's you truly will be misled,My husband and I 1st time going for Sweetest Day, and ' 'Oh My God ' ' was not dissapointed at all.The food was the best, and the service was even better. Very upscale and well worth the price,I honestly did not think that anyone could beat or even compete with Ruth Chris Steakhouse, but i 'm so glad, that i can go about a mile from my home to the best Steakhouse in Northwest Indiana!!!!!!!! And i 'm a Steak Lover!!!!! This Is The Place To Go,for good food,a great atmosphere, and excellant service!!!!!!
Wonderful. Had dinner at Ginos the other night with my wife and two other couples. Food was outstanding and the service was perfect from the time we arrived to the time we left.
Why go to Chicago ???. Place is great! The food is not your average Steak House! I had the 21 Day dry aged bone-in Ribeye! What can I say... The BEST Steak I have ever had! Cooked to perfection. Blue point oysters were an amazing start to our meal! Why should you drive to the city when you have a Chicago quality restaurant in NWI? Will come back very soon and recommend to everyone!
Best Steak in the Area. While no restaurant is perfect (at least in NWI), Ginos gives perfection a reasonable run for its money. Of the carnivore palaces in the region at which I have dined, Ginos has the best steaks, bar none. The appetizers are okay, the complimentary marintated peppers are outstanding, the side dishes (those I have tasted, that is) are but an afterthought. The after dinner coffee and desserts are great, however... best tasting cup of coffee I can remember.<br/ <br/ The ambiance is clean, sedate, comfortable, and friendly: all without being stuffy and pretentious. Pricing is higher than other places, but the quality makes it worth it. I will go back and continue to recommend Ginos.
