Wow Bao Lakeview - Meridian

Although I was disappointed with the pork and chicken dishes, I'm giving the restaurant four stars because the Mongolian beef buns are absolutely fantastic. Just steer clear of the pork and chicken buns, as they may leave you feeling let down!

0 Stars. I ordered through DoorDash at 9 PM on a Friday and waited 30 minutes, only for the driver to arrive at the restaurant and discover it was closed. Our order was canceled. Seriously, a restaurant should be open on a Friday night at 9 PM! If you can't keep your hours updated with DoorDash, maybe you shouldn't partner with them for delivery. This is beyond disappointing.

I've had some amazing meals at this restaurant in the past—the bao and potstickers are usually fantastic. However, during my most recent visit, I ordered the orange chicken and received only a paltry 2 ounces of it. The rice was also undercooked and had a crunchy texture. I understand that Friday nights can be hectic, but this just didn't feel like a proper meal. I'm disappointed because I've enjoyed the food during my previous visits, but now I'm considering exploring other dining options.

I found the bao to be outstanding. The orange chicken I ordered didn't meet my expectations completely; it was a bit sweeter than I prefer, but it was still good. I added a bit of soy sauce to help balance the sweetness. Overall, I would certainly order it again! I should also mention that the potstickers are definitely worth trying!

The flavors overall were excellent. The orange chicken had a unique taste that surprised me, but I still really enjoyed it. The baos were mostly good, although the teriyaki chicken bao could use some enhancement in flavor. The food was served hot, which I appreciated. However, I did feel that the prices were a bit steep considering the portion sizes.
