Acoustic Cafe II. - Menomonie

This place has gone to the dogs. I've been a customer for about 25 years and it has never been a bad experience until the last year or two. I came in 3 times this summer and each time the hoagie has been a dry, thin shadow of its former self, the big lady with brown dreads has been rude, and the place was almost empty. If you order a half a hoagie, you'll get a fourth, and there will be almost nothing on it. That awful lady will give you the feeling that you dared to enter her cafe, and then she'll go on to make the saddest war ration sandwich without apology or embarrassment. I'd actually like my 43 bucks back from yesterday when I ordered 2 sandwiches, a tiny soup, and drinks for my husband and child. The filling was pretty much missing and I wish I had taken a photo. I hope she didn't take any of the tip I gave to the nice young person who took the order. I won't be giving any more money to this Acoustic Cafe, and I urge others to save yourselves and eat somewhere else. Always a pleasure stopping in for a hoagie coffee. The staff is always friendly and up beat. Service is fast, and the quality is amazing. Vegetarian options: They offer hummus and black bean hummus for protein.
