Knights Fish - Mendip

This fish and choppy has saved me from starvation!!! Silly me didn’t think I’d need to book anywhere for dinner for one night solo trip to glasto during the winter months. 4 pubs turned me away as they were fully booked. And fair play glad to see business is busy. But I needed hot food and something I know my tummy can handle no spice no curry no kebabs no pizza. And I remembered there’s a fish and chip shop the wait time was minimal considering how busy they were and service was polite and warm. I ordered fresh Cornish haddock, small chips still a huge portion and a very delicious pickle and pickled onion. I’m back in my hotel room, dinner didn’t cost the earth. Back in Essex this takeaway would of cost me atleast £22/25. Tonight’s dinner came to about £13 and the fish is as long as my forearm! The chips are crispy but fluffy and taste fresh. And my only complaint is I should of ordered a whole jar of these pickled onions! yum! I would of taken a photo but I’ve eaten this already super good x

Excellent fresh fish and chips, the best around and good value too, go to tea on a Friday. Great staff and service. My favourite is the plaice but the haddock is amazing too.

Fantastic all around. Great atmosphere, fantastic food and our waitress was amazing (sorry I can’t remember her name . I thought it was just a fish and chip shop but we had a proper sit down meal. The whole family enjoyed it and I can’t recommend it higher. I will be back 100% when I’m next in the area. Many thanks :

Absolutely beautiful fish and chips good staff service cooked to perfection generous amount good value for money

We ate here twice during a week in Glastonbury. Yet again, tasty and substantial cod and chips, plus the local Wilkins cider. Staff are friendly and efficient. I noticed that they are now offering a vegan 'tofufish ', but we did not try it.
