Los Cabos Mexican Grill - Memphis

I didn't enjoy the happy hour drinks at all. The food was terrible; the key was burnt, and the spinach and cheese dish was way too salty.

It's a fun spot and a good place to grab drinks and enjoy some music, but it feels more like a club now. Every time I visit, there's someone trying to break into the ladies' room, which is concerning. The drinks are definitely strong, but if they aim for a relaxed atmosphere, that's no longer the case. It's become quite chaotic and disorganized.

The bill ended up being higher than what we normally spend at places like Babalu, Salsa Cocina on Poplar, or Fritas in Midtown. I was surprised to see a $5 fee for using a credit card, which is something I haven’t encountered in a long time. It feels like they’re aware that patrons might frequent the establishment often. Additionally, I noticed a mandatory 15% gratuity added to the bill without any prior notification. This is frustrating, as most people tend to tip more than that if they receive excellent service, which I certainly do. Overall, the experience was far from satisfying, largely due to the food quality, questionable business practices, and the management – Ivan, in particular. I won’t be returning here for personal or professional events. There’s a reason I’ve been hesitant to spend my money at this place; after trying it once, I can confidently say I won’t be back. I can easily spend $150-200 at a much better, well-managed restaurant with reputable practices, but this won’t be one of them.

I had an interesting experience at this restaurant. They added 3.49% to the bill for using a credit card. There was a sign on the checkout counter which I am not liable to read or notice. They also told us that the prices on the menu were not correct, but didn’t venture to tell us the correct prices. Their food is ok, but I am not interested in the deceptive practices.
