Kami - Melbourne

This wonderful place is a must! all you can eat (unlimited boards obvs within the reason) and they have a seperate menu option for gluten free! so many options for gf also and the whole eating is amazing. reis, steaks, huh, all marinated and leaves. they in a food coma! must visit an Okami shop and every time this one was amazing to visit and dine in!

We had a party of 15 come to Okami for my dad's birthday. The restaurant was packed but the service was very quick. The food was always served fresh and hot and if there were any orders that might have been missed due to so...many people and orders then the staff were very helpful is rectifying any issues. I did find that the sushi/sashimi selection took a little longer but with such a large variety of food to try we were able to curb our hunger in the meantime. Happy to go back to the Footscray store but super excited that they're also opening one up in point cook. I'm hoping it is as good as the footscray store!

For $33 per person, the all-you-can-eat option at this restaurant is a great value. Instead of a buffet, you can order up to five dishes at a time, with most dishes coming out quickly. We went for the second sitting at 7.45pm and despite two large groups, the service was still efficient. The food was fresh and light, with small serving sizes but the option to order as much as you want. The sushi was average, but the other dishes were good. We went with another couple and the service was overall great, though some staff could work on their customer service skills. The venue in Footscray is quite noisy, so it's not ideal for a romantic date night. Drinks come at an additional cost, with Japanese tea priced at $12 for a pot for four people, but free refills of hot water are available. You can bring your own red or white wine. In conclusion, it was a very pleasant dining experience.

Went with a group of 6 to try out their all-you-can-eat menu. We came in 20mins late but they were nice to start our buffet time the moment we arrived. Staff was very knowledgeable and let us know about our time limit and the wastage...charges. The food tasted amazing and the staff was attentive most of the time. The only downside was there wasn't a lot of options to choose from. Overall our experiences was great and will definitely come again!

I have been to Okami several times before, but this was my first time at the Footscray location. I wanted to show my family how great Okami is, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed and embarrassed. The service was either very slow or simply non-existent, even after reminding the waitstaff multiple times. We were not even given a drinks menu. The restaurant was very busy and seemed overwhelmed trying to fulfill both delivery orders and in-house dining. I am sorry to say that I will not be returning.
