Cargo Restaurant - Melbourne

I love this restaurant. The service is usually great however sometimes you get an average waiter. The food is wonderful and there are a lot of vegetarian options especially is you like sharing small plates. I'd suggest asking for less cream if you order pasta as it's usually covered in cream. The prices are reasonable and it's nice to sit outside when it's not too cold.

My husband and I were looking for a nice spot for drinks before heading out to a pre booked dinner elsewhere. Cargo had position, atmosphere and service. Chris who I assumed was the manager was amazing. Very friendly and accomodating and a breath of fresh air. Even though we didn't get a meal there which I was disappointed about as it all looked and smelled divine I made mention to the staff that it was lovely to see them all working together efficiently and with such a friendly vibe. We returned the following night with friends-again unfortunately after another pre booked function again nothing was too much trouble to fit us in and the service impeccable. I also like the fact that the music is just background not blaring that you can't hold a conversation. Thoroughly enjoyed both visits. I will definitely be eating there next time I'm in Melbourne! Thanks guys.

Went here with friends service was great and the food even better. Staff always making sure everyone is right for drinks etc. Food took approx 10 mins to come out after ordering. Great selection of drinks as well. Very kid friendly
