Windy's Ice Cream Diner - Medicine Hat

Had amazing “real cream” ice cream with the family here last night! Each of us could find our favourite flavours and such generous portions—the regular seems like a triple cone! Very friendly gentleman running the place, great “diner vibe”, and awesome retro music playing in the background. Excellent value!! Windy’s is our new favourite place for ice cream.

Pulled off Highway 1 into Medicine Hat for a quick lunch. Stopped in at Windy's Diner and ordered a rueben sandwich and milkshake. The sandwhich was fresh and hearty, it was one of the best reuben sandwiches I've had! The milkshake was creamy and delicious. This place is a gem. Fast and friendly service, fresh and affordable. Thanks for the great lunch!

Amazing experience! The guy serving the ice cream was so friendly and thoughtful. He brought my baby out his own little cone and even brought us a warm wet cloth to wipe off baby's face after he got covered in ice cream from enthusiastically diving in! We will definitely be back.

By far the best and most friendly ice cream joint in town. The owner Nick is a really friendly thoughtful guy! Awesome atmosphere. Very old school vibe to it.
