Payette Dream Diner - MCCALL

There were four staff members working during a busy breakfast service, but it took an hour to receive our pancakes as the cook could only make one meal at a time. They prioritized the order of another table before ours, and the server finally brought our order after shaking the scatter. There was no multitasking and no excuse for the slow service. This was not just a result of the pandemic, but simply bad service. We were even charged for drinks which we had never experienced before. We do not recommend this restaurant if you are dining with a larger group.

We had breakfast at the Payette Dream Cafe next door. The food was delicious and the service was welcoming. We will definitely return.

My family had breakfast at this restaurant and our bill was over $40, which we found to be overpriced. We ordered a cheese omelet, pancakes with eggs and bacon, a milk, an orange juice, and a soda. There was no kids menu available and we felt the hostess was a little rude. The food was served in a decent amount of time, but they forgot the bacon that was supposed to come with the cheese omelet. This was disappointing and we wish we had just gone to the coffee house side instead.

This restaurant has been offering fantastic breakfast and lunch options for a number of years. Their traditional breakfast is incredibly generous and may be more than most diners can finish. Due to a shortage of workers in McCall, you may observe the owner working tirelessly to ensure top-notch service for all guests. If you visit during busy times, be patient as the wait will be well worth it.
