Big Country's Sports - MCCALL

The food is excellent, the service is great, and they're open late into the night. I highly recommend trying the biscuits!

I miss the restaurant that used to be here. TJ's was so delicious and well-maintained! Unfortunately, Big Country's food is disappointing, and the seating area is not clean. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're ice skating and just need a quick bottled drink.

I've lived in McCall for most of my life, and I remember when the café at the ice rink was fantastic. Unfortunately, the new restaurant there lacks any ambition to maintain cleanliness, serve good food, or provide decent service. It has one of the most unsanitary kitchens I've ever encountered. After more than 10 years in the food service industry, I know what customer service should look like. I was repulsed just getting a hot chocolate to enjoy while watching a hockey game—it took over 10 minutes to get it. Meanwhile, the "owner" or "manager" was lounging on the couch, shouting at the woman behind the counter, asking if she needed help, instead of actually getting up to assist her. This is just laziness. The service is poor, the kitchen is filthy (it desperately needs a deep clean; there's a noticeable buildup of grease on the ceiling), and I strongly recommend that someone reach out to the Valley County health inspector. I really don't understand how they're still in business.

Nice to have a place with a little bit of a sports bar feel. Nothing else in Mccall comes close.

Now that was a big sandwich. Very tasty and I have had that the last 2 times I went there. Will be going back for more.
