Carton House, A Fairmont Managed

I don’t think I’ve ever had a better lodging experience. The location is great, and the rooms and grounds are beautiful. Breakfast is incredible and the Carriage House food was great. However, the real stand-out is the staff and service. They were professional and attentive, but most of all extremely warm and kind. We’ve never felt so welcomed somewhere, and we were treated like royalty even though we were a little ragged from 15 hours of traveling. We even changed our trip itinerary to be able to go back another night. I highly recommend staying at the Carton House!

We have stayed here recently and it was superb from start to finish!The staff were exceptional from Brian at concierge who gave us the tour of the old house and excellent knowledge of the history of Carton to recently Shane in the Carriage House Restaurant. Shane couldn't have been more helpful and so professional. And made our experience even more wonderful with his super friendly personality. Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely stay in a historic location with fab grounds and access to the gym, pool, sauna and steam room. Lovely breakfast in a grand setting. Very helpful and friendly staff. An easy 20minute or so walk into Maynooth high street, cutting through the golf course.

Just home after an amazing overnight stay in Carton. First time there since the renovations. From the moment we arrived it was an absolute pleasure. Cartons luxury service doesn’t disappoint. I was greeted on the footpath by a lovely gentleman and escorted to reception for a seat whilst I checked in. Every single member of staff are so professional, friendly and attentive. Dinner in Kathleen’s kitchen was a treat open kitchen watching the food being cooked. Breakfast is definitely a star moment. On checking out , the most helpful Anna informed us about activities to do for the day to make the most out of our stay. Highly recommend a stay in carton house

Carton house has beautiful grounds surrounding the house, I love the fact that it is sort of isolated from the outside as it leaves you with an impression that you have escaped the confines of our modern world. The staff are extremely helpful and kind unlike anywhere else that I have visited. The estate is absolutely fabulous on a hot sunny day as the well kept greens seem to be ever so lush in the summer in contrast with the majority of grasses in parks which would dry out in the summer. The estate is very well kept and you can see their attention to creating the perfect place to unwind, and relax while playing golf.
