Red Torch Ginger Maynooth

I have found my new favorite restaurant in Maynooth! I’ve been eager to try this place for months, and we finally went tonight. We discovered a very reasonable early bird menu with a great selection. Both the starter and the main course were fantastic—full of flavor and fresh ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. However, the desserts were disappointing and didn't match the quality of the previous courses. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Red Torch Ginger, and I will definitely be back very soon!

For the main courses, everything was delicious again, and the portion sizes were generous. We also tried some cocktails, which were well-crafted. I’m deducting one star from my review (or I would have deducted half a star if that were an option) because a 10% service charge was automatically added. I didn't think this was appropriate, especially since it was for four adults and one child. Afterward, I looked at the menu, which noted that a service charge applies for groups of seven or more. While the total aligned with what we would have tipped anyway, I prefer to have the option to decide my own tip rather than being automatically charged.

Five of us had a wonderful meal on the eve of Mother's Day. The food looked and tasted wonderful. Staff were great. As we were early, we had loads of space and felt very comfortable. We will happily visit again!

My new favorite spot in Maynooth. Delicious food and yummy cocktails. The mango sidecar is to die for. Will definitely be back again.
