Unagi No Matsuka - Matsumoto

Visited during low season in Jan and there was no queue. Choose between 2 or 3 unagi-don sets. It is a little expensive, but unagi specialty stores are not cheap, it is reasonable for its quality. Unagi had a perfect roasted taste that is significantly better compared to famous Tokyo/Kyoto shops where we enjoyed our Unagi with 4-way food.

Excellent unagi restaurant! Good food and good service. Your version is something on the sweeter side I like. Go there early, they begin to limit the menu until we left shortly after 1:00.

Amazing food, very friendly staff who speaks little English, but are very patient. You really want to have the best experience and enjoy a chat.

Probably the best unagi!
