I had my dinner at La Veranda right after my body massage. I find the restaurant very convenient as it's just within the Garden Spa compound, customers can easily go to the place to fill in empty tummy right after massage. The beef salpicao was delicious!! But since I was their only customer, and it's a lazy Friday night, their staff were dozing, heads bent in tables when I arrived. And continued sleep after serving my meals. I had to wake them up when I took my bill
La Veranda Cafe, located along Gen. Ordonez Street, Marikina Heights, exudes a modern simplistic charm with a garden setting backdrop. Combining that appeal with their delectable and reasonably priced dishes would surely entice guests to return for more. We 've already tried their highly recommended Marikena (smoked fish and olive oil) Pasta, Fish fillet in Lemon Butter Sauce and the La Veranda Overload House Special Pizza for dinner before. Now we 're back just for a light lunch. We ordered their All Meat and Cheese Pizza topped with ham, Italian sausage, ground beef, mushroom and 3 types of cheeses. It was totally good and satisfying. The choice was another winner. We also had the privilege to meet and talk to the vivacious and hardworking Mrs. Lily Javate, the owner/operator of La Veranda restaurant who happened to be there when we arrived. We 've learned how La Veranda evolved with her constant 'hands-on ' management and supervision. Her long years of culinary experience, international travel, and her loyal and efficient staff, have been the main reasons of La Veranda 's success. We will surely be back. Viva La Veranda!
Last weekend, we decided to go in marikina to buy some shoes and apparels. So I searched for restaurants in marikina, luckily i have read ms. What The F TFC Food journey. She is my fellow foodie and friend. La Veranda is just very near to the Famous lilac st. This is owned by mapuan couple engr. Ligaya and Rene Javate, Im glad to meet fellow mapuans since im a mapuan also. So here are my review. We Ordered: All Meat And Cheese Pizza(MUST TRY) 250 Viktoria Pasta(MUST TRY) 400platter Cheeseburger Deluxe 100 Chesseburger with Bacon Mushroom 120 Fish Fillet In Lemon Butter Sauce 220 Beef Salpicao 190 Chicken Platter(MUST TRY) 350 Food: 4.5/5.0 Prices here are relatively cheap, since the owner says, we own the place so there's no need to increase the price range. Best dish is the viktoria pasta, rich white sauce with zucchini and mushrooms. one of the best pasta reinvention. Their burgers are not pure beef, i tasted some pork. Try also the all meat pizza , the thin rectangular pizza with overloaded meat topped with lots of cheese. The Chicken platter is also good, The chicken is coated by bread crumbs. The crumbs are not overcooked and not oily. Ambiance/Place 5.0/5.0 The place is easy to find, la veranda cafe has numerous signboards. you can chose whether to eat at al fresco dining area or hotel like vibe. the chairs are comfortable and aircon is good. Service 4.5/5.0 very good service, one comment is they serve food slow. but maybe they are cooking it from scratch.
There are hot days when one needs to cool down by exploring a new restaurant, and La Veranda Cafè Marikina along General Ordoñez street (from Lilac, go straight up then turn right – the opposite area of Pan de Amerikana/Capriserrie) did not disappoint! I felt like I was eating at a hotel because of its classy interiors, and they also have a garden dining area, perfect for al fresco lovers! I enjoyed their pasta Victoria house blend iced tea so much! In addition, you can relax pa if you go further in because of Marikina Garden Spa Beauty Salon. Hay nako, who needs to go to Sonya’s in Tagaytay when this one is so near???
