Aling Remy's Puto At Kutsinta - Matina

Bought a couple of stuff here. The suman pinipig with buko is excellent. Highly recommended. However, I've tasted better puto pao, puto and pichi pichi. Staff is pleasant.

The best puto in town and probably the whole country!!! Soooo good, melts in your mouth. I eat it like peanuts.

Aling Remy's puto and kutsinta is sooooo SARAP!! the BEST puto in the Philippines. Grabe who would not want their products aside sa yummy na, super affordable pa! Hindi nakakasawa pwede on all occasions! sayang we are living in the South sana magka branch kayo there. hihi. Anyway, for other customers huwag kayo malilito kasi super dami nagtitinda ng puto but Aling Remy's Puto is the Best talaga hindi kayo mapapahiya. Just look for their signage Aling Remy's.

Much like the elusive Estella of Estella's Gotto and Vivian of Vivian's Tapsihan, Aling Remy is something of legend among Marikeños. Her puto recipe (and I might be starting a turf war here, but my loyalties have been made , which has been with her family since before I could imagine, has been attracting no less than swarms of foodies to her little stall in San Roque, Marikina for years. This isn't your regular puto. Forget all the lies that Goldilocks has taught you. Suspend your love for the Binyan variety too. Aling Remy's puto, which I suggest you come get in whole bilaos, is a very straight forward, glutinous rice treat that's fluffier and tastier than you've ever experienced before. If we're being honest, I'm having a hard time describing it! It's light and spongey, and topped with cheese like many puto variants are; yes, but there's also something about it that's unique to Marikina and Aling Remy. It's not just that it's brown either. I find that it's tastier (almost savory! and smoother on the palate than any other similar thing that I've had. Perfect with a warm mug of tsokolatee in cold weather, or some fresh fruit juice during hotter days.

Undoubtedly the best puto ever! we also love getting their fish crackers. I didn't care much for their llanera/everlasting. It's unlike the ones i've tasted parang puro extenders.
