Il Fornello - MATERA

This place is a gem! If you line an autentic experience don't miss it! We had Csprese, Cialledda fredda, Ricotta fresca with his mammas jam, Cavatelli Fungi e Salsiccia and Girello di Maialino which was all delicious! We could sit outside in his little terrasse with a stunning view and nice music! The owner is very nice. He does everything himself! The Restaurant inside is also very special! I would love to eat here again!

I had a good time at this restaurant with excellent food.The wine enjoyed with warm, savory pasta, fresh salads, and various cheeses were excellent.Especially, eating in a cave gave special experience.The scenery of matera Pavilion overlooking the restaurant is very nice.

I had dinner here with my family of four. Friendly staff, good authentic food and a charming place. I recommend it.

We dined one evening of August and we took the menu to euro per head that includes: appetizer (minimum plate,) first course (simple tomato earlets,) second choice (potato pork and sausage shoe,) covered. we did not eat bad, potatoes were a little raw, but we say that quality and quantity are in line with the price. in general they noticed little attention, even if the menu is from euro. the staff traveled inside and outside the restaurant keeping the mask lowered, even when paying the account inside the room the owner did not have with him the mask. It certainly takes more care, more precisely in compliance with the legislation in force.

Charming restaurant in Matera with authentic Italian food, great ambience, and very friendly owner and staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience here....the wine, the food, and the interaction with staff...all excellent. We had dinner here on Sunday and we would have returned for dinner on Monday if they were open. Would highly recommend.
