Dedalo Sensi Sommersi - MATERA

An enchanting location, made all the more unique by owner Pietro's desire to deliver a profound sensory experience to his clients. The architecture of the restaurant is beautiful, the sculptures and historical photographs remarkable, and the post-dinner visit of the various restaurant rooms (which feel more like art galleries) truly memorable. The cuisine is a modern revisitation of classic Matera food, served skillfully by the very professional waitstaff. Highly recommended.

Very interesting dinner and art experience. Modern take on local traditional dishes. Friendly and formal, we didn’t know the extent of the cave. Various sculptures based on Greek mythology are carved throughout the restaurant. The owner, Piertro, has generations family history is this cave. It’s a wild meeting point of the ancient and the modern. Have to mention that Daniel Craig was a guest while filming No Time To Die. Gifted Pierto with an inscribed bottle of Champagne. It on display in the bar. Pretty cool.

We had a wonderful evening for dinner! The food and the service is impeccable. It's a bit pricier than other places within the same vacinity, but well worth it!! You really need to check this place out.

Wonderful location in the heart of Matera stones. We chose the tasting menu: food studied and cured also in the planting. One criticism: I'd think more about flavors. Friendly and elegant service but not intrusive. The owner eventually accompanied us on a stone tour, showing us real works of art and hidden places of the restaurant. Super recommended
