Mame Cafe - Martinsburg

Honestly this is the best bakery/restaurant in the Altoona Central PA area. After having one of the donuts I wonder why waste my time and calories in other donuts. The variety of baked goods and menu items are amazing. All the food is made fresh (so be patient as you wait for your meal, it’s worth the wait). They have dine and and carry out. And you can pre order baked goods for any occasion.

Mamie's is a regular stop for us, especially when we have out-of-town visitors! When guests come to Martinsburg, they always ask to go to Mamie's! The place is quaint, everything is homemade and delicious! You'll want to save room for one, or two, of Mamie's award winning donuts. Of course you can always take a dozen to go! Don't miss this place!

We went this restaurant ten days ago all the way from Baltimore for my birthday breakfast. The waitress said we were 5 minute late (eventhough we reached before 10:30), so they didn't let us order breakfast. When I ordered corn soup, I asked the waitress to make sure there is no meat in the soup, ended up having bacon in the soup Food wasn't that good and customer service very bad.

I love this place! Lunch is always great and the baked goods are the best I ever had! The Sour Cherry Crumb Pies are the bomb. We take all our guests there when they visit our Raystown Lake home. They all love it too. They always say Are we going to go to Mamie 's? Great owners and staff. I just can 't say enough good things about this gem.

This is a good place for breakfast as long as you are not on a hurry. They are a bit different in how they do things but the food is very good. It will take a while to place your order and another while for it to be ready. Good time to visit with friends. There is no tipping and skip the jar at checkout. Baked good are wonderful, but gluten free options are not offered or possible.
