Mamie's Cafe - Martinsburg

My family and I visited for breakfast, and I clearly ordered my usual—a small breakfast mess. Unfortunately, the person taking my order wrote down that I had ordered a Grand Canyon mess instead. When my order finally arrived, it was not what I requested. The waiter insisted it was similar, even though it cost more and came with extra ingredients like queso, sausage, Italian dressing, and mushrooms—none of which I can eat. Despite my explanations, he continued to argue with me, claiming that the server who took my order backed him up. It felt like a he-said-she-said situation, and after some back and forth, the waiter eventually placed my correct order in front of me rather rudely, slapping down the plate and pointing to the receipt for emphasis. The service was very disrespectful, and it seemed like there were inexperienced staff working that day. To make matters worse, I ended up having to pay for the meal I never ordered. I'm extremely disappointed. If this is the level of service that continues, I'm afraid Mamies will lose the loyal customers who once loved it. It seems like someone in charge needs to address these issues before things get worse.

Great restaurant! However, my omelet had an excessive amount of cheese. I love cheese, but I think they could tone it down a bit. Overall, the food was rated 4, service was excellent at 5, and the atmosphere also received a 5.
