Contribuiți la feedbackThe Forest Dan is just a few blocks away from home and I'm always curious to go there. Yesterday I took my daughters and their friends for a late happy hour and we had an explosion! I didn't make a reservation so we had to wait until aprox 45 min to get a table because the place was packed. Once we have our seats, we have a look at the food / beverage menu and they have several options, from finger food / cosmetics, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, tacos, etc to even a healthier extra menu with salads, packs and some vegan options. The beverage menu is also very complete with many cocktails, spirits and craft beer. The environment is very relaxed with many beautiful and young people. I ordered a Cajun chicken sandwich that was quite good, my daughter and friends ordered burgers that were okay (very gooddone like most burger patties here in Argentina) and my younger daughter had a cheesy Fajitas that was more like a crushed beef taco than a real Fajita, but was good. The food in general was quite decent for a bar/pub, so we were satisfied. The drinks were also good, especially the APA and the homemade ginger-mint lemonade. The service was very good and the prices were great. We will be back soon, this time a reservation with a few days of anticipation. It is one of the best options for drinks when you live or are close to La Lucila!
The place itself looks pretty cool and was very popular so our 45 minutes wait to get a table. It took 15 minutes before we were served by someone. We ordered drinks and they took 30 minutes to arrive and the order was wrong. The food itself was very average. When we asked about our bill, we found a bottle of wine that we didn't have. After this pointed out to the waiter, it took another 15 minutes to get the correct bill! I don't know if they were underused, but the service was painfully slow!! I wouldn't go back in for this subject! You have to bring your act together!
Very poor service, we had to wait half hr for a waitress then another half hr till she came for our order and when we wanted to know when I food was available we had to get up and look for her, and this was...a Saturday afternoon when it wasn't busy.
The place is different, rather trendy (dim lights and funny decoration) and the food, everything you eat is made gourmet. The beautiful surprise in a Argentina that is very expensive to eat outside is that the value is very, very good. The service that... is criticized by other reviews can be a bit slow, but very friendly. Would definitely make the point of visiting this restaurant.
Great drinks, great food, great service, great music, everything in a really cool atmosphere. My family and I live in Buenos Aires. We will not leave any reviews until we have "more visits made to test consistency. We are thrilled with this little jewel of a restaurant, with an atmosphere reminiscent of an Edison-era pub/speakeasy. I love the interior decorated with Edison light bulbs. There is a fantastic vintage, austere vibe. I don't understand the bad service reviews at all! Our experience with service in this family-run restaurant has been there with La Cabrera and other first-class restaurants in Bs. Your drinks menu is so many pages long, I will be lost! Many and many special drinks. The food is very much what I call 'the comfort food. I love the penne cheese pasta with its Cheddar cheese sauce and clobular pieces of bacon with a crispy mozarella crust-like topping. The Piper-Thru music is very pleasant and varies every night, including jazz fusion, radio, a bit reggae, some pop music. We love this little place.
