Stackhouse - Mars Hill

The veggie burger was enjoyable, and it was refreshing that it wasn't a frozen vegetable patty. My husband tried the brisket sandwich but didn't find it particularly impressive. The pimento cheese fries were a hit! The restaurant has a charming, small-town atmosphere.

We have visited Stackhouse multiple times. The food can be excellent on occasion, but disappointing at other times. The service is consistently slow, but the staff is usually friendly. The atmosphere is unusual, with often no background music, giving it a cafeteria-like feel. They also do not serve beer, possibly due to losing their license at some point. It is worth a try, but it's best not to have high expectations.

Very average American fare. Large portions. Service was very friendly but slow due to only having one person for the entire dining area at lunchtime.

Quick trip to Mars Hill and ate here. Mac and cheese was weird, but the brisket and the chicken tenders were fantastic. Staff is very friendly.

Highly customizable food options. I love the spinach artichoke dip, specifically the soft pita chip things that come with it
