Strawberry Grove - Marlow

Marlow is a very traditional place with lots of eateries. Most of them have very limited vegan options. It was therefore fortunate to find this cafe with small menu with almost as many vegetarian and vegan options as non vegetarian. Pretty, small cafe with friendly prompt service. Have had many a dodgy vegan burger but this was home mad, with all the fixings and a vegan brioche bun. They had more than one vegan milk available, and one type of vegan cake.

The staff didn't know what was vegan. We received chocolate on our cappuccino then spent half an hour to find out if the chocolate was vegan. The staff took almost forty minutes to tell us that their chips were vegan. They served milk butter with their 'vegan' breakfast, which also had egg. There was a beautiful looking vegan pistachio carrot cake that we did not try as we decided to reduce and leave our losses. Staff need better training/consciousness, which is suitable for vegans. The service fee automatically included in the invoice was also unweighted and must be abolished especially with the service received by us. This listing requires an update there was no sign of all dedicated vegan food options (especially no Buddha shells or burgers for vegans).

Vegan Breakfast Option was 'we can get the halloomi out and the egg and maybe give some more mushrooms' this is not really a vegan option it is just subtraction from regular breakfast. Breakfast then came with egg and halloomi, which the staff also seemed to be in the raising. Cook has clearly 'not understood vegan requirements, as the server has instructed the problem. This is a wonderful café. Very nice decor with colorful outdoor seating. The vegan cakes were fantastic. We had salted Caramel-Gateau, yum, and took two portions of pistachios and carrot slice, which were just as delicious. There was also a raspberry and oat flap. Perfect coffee too!!! Staff so friendly and helpful. I just wish we didn't have lunch before we found Strawberry Grove!
