Riverside At Macdonald Compleat Angler

My partner and I both ordered steaks with fries and salad during our visit. The food was good, but the service was a bit slow with our drinks. My wife also ordered a small glass of wine which was quite costly at 12.50. We inquired about the price, but no action was taken.

Excellent service, staff very accommodating and explains the dishes and wines. For my fathers booked 80. Birthday had a very nice evening. The setting of the restaurant also complements the ambience. Would definitely come back and hope to visit again.

Very disappointed on this occasion, the conversation was drowned by the saxophonist who would have removed from the diners we liked, but it was too loud) The portions for the salmon mousse starter were abismal and service was a combination of good and poor. Last August we had a much better appearance when we came to the family dinner and when lunch on the 17th was a gift from our children that we felt very deceived!

Extremely disappointing culinary experience, served already semi-used bottle water, no offer to taste the wine, followed by warm white wine, apprentices and very slow service. refused to pay the service fee and I fear we will not return. What a shame, accustomed to such a big place, but simply not good enough customer experience to choose many other places in Buckinghamshire and that's what we will do. Seriously, their ACT TOGETHER!!

Sadly, Riverside ,.,,,,, new nothing of our booking through your goodselves, were very rude and made us feel very unwanted, the riverside was Half empty and and could have accommodated us without a fuss, we arrived half an hour before our 2.30 lunch appointment. They said they did not take bookings through open table, although did find our booking eventually,, by which time they were prepared to honour it ,,,,, but the graduation lunch had been spoilt,,,, After agreeing to let us have lunch, the staff and service could not be faulted, neither the meal, Shame about the welcome which was not acceptable at all. Totally disorganised.
