Osaka Sushi and Hibachi - Maplewood

Delicious rolls (avocado, avocado peanut, and sweet potato tempura) and fast service for a pickup order. good prices too. great stop on my minnesota vacation

The presentation is fun and all, but the food is very generic Chinese. Go for the fun be okay with the food.

The cook was fabulous, he was funny and entertaining the waitress was horrible she started rushing us out we had several bills there were 14 of us and she threw the bills at one person and said figure it out I think I will try Roseville location next because I won't to be treated with respect when I spend my money

This was our first time at this location. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and pretty swift! The hibachi food was fresh, hot, and good, as was the soup. Our salads could have been better though, the lettuce was starting to brown and it was over-sauced with the salad dressing. I ordered the vegetarian hibachi, but it comes with 2 pieces of shrimp which I don't eat and ended up giving to my kid. I'm not sure about item substitutions since I didn't ask. I didn't mind the shrimp coming on my tray because I knew my daughter would eat them. We sat at a booth and our table was neat and clean. As far as the atmosphere and ambiance goes, it's not as pretty and vibrant as the other Osaka locations we've visited, it seems a lot more toned down. It was nice and quiet for the early lunch hour, so that's something you prefer this is your spot. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian selection is very slim, but what is veg is tasty. Not my first restaurant pick for a vegetarian meal, but what I had was good. Parking: There is plenty of parking in the large shared free parking lot. Even if there was a big party, you would still be able to find parking in the lot.

The food was ok. Rice and veggies were good but all the meat, shrimp and lobster was overcooked. There wasn 't much of a show . He did a few things but not much. Maybe he was just having a bad day.
