First time customer today and I must say that the food taste really good. All the dishes had a unique flavor, the portions and price points were good. One of the dishes I ordered was the large Hmong/Lao platter. It came with a small bag of sticky rice which I thought it should've came with at least 2 bags for the large. For some reason I was expecting a small papaya salad to come with the platter which it didn't. Overall the food reminded me of some dishes I had in Thailand and will definitely be coming back.
Would go back anytime any day! If they were open late nights, I would be there! Love the Boat Pho! Reminds of me my trip to Bangkok!
We decided to check this place out after getting a suggestion from a friend. Boy, were we glad we did! The place is well organized with a small menu. You order at the front desk, sit down, and they 'll bring out your food. The Hmong music in the background gives this place a nice vibe. Who doesn 't like eating at a restaurant with some Maa Vue and Chenning Xiong playing in the background? I must say, it was a breath of fresh air. First of all, I want to speak to my non Asians who goes in, look at the menu and walk out. If you 're just not feeling it, I get it, IHOP is next door. But if you 're just not sure what to get, I would suggest just try something. Everything on the menu probably won 't disappoint because the food items are pretty western safe . Maybe except for the boat noodles. But one thing is for sure, if no one told you that blood is used in the broth, you would never know because it is freaking delicious. We got the Hmong spice wings, and traditional boat noodles. The wings are fantastic with medium spice. It 's pretty much laarb seasoning and herbs on wings. The boat noodle is one of the best in the twin cities for sure. I would highly recommend it! Very rich and tasty broth that will not require any additional condiments. Definitely a hidden gem! I 'll definitely be back next time we visit the TC! Oh yeah btw, living on MN and never trying Hmong food is like living in TX or CA and never trying Mexican food. Live a little y 'all!
First time trying this food, flavor is there but portions are too small. I also wish a description was listed below the pictures of the food. There is also not much options for food. Probably would not eat here again.
