The Chop House At The Equinox Resort

They sat me and my wife at 9:00 for our 8:30pm reservation. The hostess would come back to her post every 10 mins and say they are getting the table ready and then would disappear. We were seated next to a obnoxious bachelorette party who had no self awareness that this was an upscale restaurant, as they viewed their tik tok videos on full volume annoying everyone in the place. Maybe seat them in the private dining area in the back, not in the middle of everyone? Our steaks were ordered medium but were still mooing when they got to our table. Didn’t get my Diet Coke but no biggie there. My wife actually got up to talk to the hostess/mgr during dinner to see if they could quiet down the bachelorette group but nothing was done. They comped our cappuccinos but it didn’t make up for a subpar experience.

The food and service was very good, great spot. There were some service issues and they were not consistent in how they treated each table. The big problem here was not the food or service but the 10 top of screaming women at the other end of the restaurant. 2 tables left and everyone else was not happy. Ruined what would have otherwise been a great meal.

The food was excellent and the wait staff was exceptional.

On the who it really isnt worth trying to go out to a high end type restaurant in this areas. prices are similar to big city dining but the food is ofter pretty average. that was true for chop hoiuse as well. very expensive for pretty small portions. the sides were not very good...bordering on cafeteria dining. steaks are the main dish here but we found them to be small and pretty tough. even my daughter coldnt get through a filet mignon as was tough and fatty. people nice and doing their best but honestly just not worth it

At these prices they should be able to cook a better steak.
