Shakin Crab - Manassas

I had the best combination of fried shrimp and fries I've ever tasted. The shrimp is exceptionally large—clearly sourced from a unique place. The fries are wonderfully crispy and just right in flavor. The prices are great too!

The experience began on a positive note, and I even tried to overlook the chaos during the COVID pandemic. As a business owner myself, I typically refrain from posting negative reviews. However, this encounter was unacceptable and felt discriminatory. I stood directly in front of an impolite staff member, who chose to ignore me completely. The food was cold and hard, and there were no utensils included in the bag. The manager, Katrina, kept making excuses for the poor behavior. When I requested a corporate contact number, she reacted as if she didn’t understand me at all. I would recommend going to SemiFreddos instead, where you'll find much better service and food.

Been here twice, did take away both times. Staff is friendly and food was hot and ready one time. Both times I ordered the Seafood Platter (2 clusters snow crab, 0.5 lb sausage, 1 lb each shrimp, mussels, and crawfish, 4 each corn and potatoes) and it was enough to feed three people. I selected the Shakin Crab seasoning and selected mild. Spiciness level was low enough that people that don't like spicy food could enjoy it. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.

This place is okay at best. Seafood wasn't anything too impressive. The sauce that comes in the seafood boil bag wasn't very flavorful to me and tasted kind of watered down. And while I thought the hush puppies were pretty good, everything else was just meh. Definitely prefer Chasin Tails for sure. The 15-20 min drive is worth it to me.
