I expected more of it based on other reviews. but eating was disappointing overall. the aged ashi tofu was good and the horenso spinat was a small bland. the soft shell castors were quite average and the gyoza were excessively salty and contained...MSG! in view of the fact that we had called to check, there was no msg in any of the foods and was said there was none, this was extremely disappointing. msg is toxic to most people and should not be used, and especially if the restaurant has clearly stated that they do not use it at all. the only redeeming plate was the black cod that was very good, although a very small part for the price. the staff was friendly, but seemed to be confused on orders and there were only 3 tables of 2 restaurants. there is no ambiente to speak.
We eat here all 6 weeks or so and while eating is generally very good, the place is shut down and must be really cleaned and renovated to give it a new life. if they did, they would triple their business.
That is a beautiful restaurant. the staff is very efficient and eating is nice and comes out quickly. eating is cooked in Chinese style instead of in Japanese, as I assume that the personal is Chinese. there are subtle differences for the knower, such as the tofu is cooked with a sweeter sauce.
I went there for last couple weeks, the foods was really nice. I enjoyed the food so much with my family.
