Chapter One Bistro - Malton

First time here today for lunch I was well impressed had egg , sausage black pudding sandwich with there own hand cut chips , best I have ever had , all with great service and window seat , very busy and I saw many other delicious looking food going out to other tables so I will gong back to try them Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Rang up at 11:45, ordered 2 plain cheese burgers with chips for takeaway. Arrived at 12:15 and they had only made one, which wasn’t plain. Came back another 20 mins later for the second one as they’d forgotten, which granted isn’t the end of the world, but the burger was small, and the fries were so soggy I didn’t bother. £22 for all this when we can just go elsewhere and get it for under £10. Regularly visit Chapter one for their good vegetarian options. Slightly pricier than other places in Malton, but their chips are incredible Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Lovely friendly staff, not an exciting menu but well executed and flexible eg: my companion didn't want calamari and they were happy to offer more of the other components. Could maybe do with a few more vegetarian options but my halloumi burger was very tasty. Dog friendly, hoorah! And you can book. Reasonable prices too. Would definitely recommend. Service: Dine in

Revisited here today and it was fabulous! I had the Chapter One classic burger with chips and slaw and it was out of this world! It honestly was one of THE best burgers I've had in a long long time and the homemade chips and slaw were fabulous, can't wait to visit again.
