Root Patisserie Cafe - Malacca

It's a very simple cafe. Quite a distance from Jonker walk so it's much quieter. There was an average selection of cakes and pastries. I wouldn't consider excellent but average. Service was very homey and I think that's what makes this cafe favourable to locals. If you want something simple, homey and quiet this is the spot for you. Seating space is a little crowded so not that suitable for larger crowds.

Svc is good. But food n beverage 7 likes. Cake 9 likes...

Very tasty cakes, excellent coffees. We had the hazelnut cake and the apple crumble (this one comes heated with ice cream). The iced caramel latte was very enjoyable. Atmosphere is quiet and cozy.

Decor can be more nostalgic...setting in a traditional peranakan house.. We came to have coffee only, didn't try the food.

Root Patisserie is located in the historic Kampung Hulu neighborhood of Melaka. It specializes in European-style pastries and also serves cakes, tarts, desserts and specialty coffee drinks.
