Yabu - Makati

At first glance, the food may look expensive. But let me tell you, it's worth it! I ordered the pork tenderloin set meal. I loved that the rice and cabbage shreddings were refillable! There was also miso soup included plus some fruit. My hungry tummy and katsu cravings were definitely satisfied! + Staff were attentive and friendly. + The place looked a little worn out but it was peaceful anyway. You'll forget it when they serve you the food.

I just had lunch in Yabu G5. We ordered Tonkatsu Rosu set w brown rice (whateves don't judge haha). I've been craving pork tonkatsu since last week and Yabu did not fail! I liked their miso soup- there's no bitter after taste. Also the cabbage salad with the sesame dressing,not sure what it's called but definitely not the wasabi????. Of course the pork tonkatsu -crispy outside and tender inside. I loved that the set comes w a slice of ????&????as oppose to pickled veggie.G5 staff are all very attentive & very accommodating!!! As one of the pioneers in reintroducing the katsu into modern Philippine dining, Yabu never fails to deliver. Great food, and equally great place to dine and satisfy one's katsu cravings. I can't wait for the day that they include the katsus themselves as part of the unlimited options of their sets. Then, it would be a perfect five for its rating. ????????

I ordered the Chicken Katsu set. It was cooked to perfection as always. I like the Glorietta 5 branch because it is in a secluded area and I like the peaceful and quiet ambiance. The servers are attentive and friendly as well.

I always order the Menchi Katsu Curry (about P435 with taxes and service charge). Big fan of Yabu! Quality ingredients, authentic Japanese taste, great breading on the Katsu, unlimited cabbage, rice, miso and fruits. In this particular branch, the managers are always visible and the refills are fast. They're also very proactive. Yabu is highly recommended. :)
