Free cocktail drinks on arrival with my accommodation! The pool basically has this cool see through bottom that allows you to see the people under whilst swimming - kinda scary at first but definitely a unique experience! Love the day lounges - can't find anything like this in the city. I'll be sure to come back when I need a little urban oasis.
Perfect place to enjoy life if Makati's stress is getting into you. Speakeasy bar that gives a full satisfaction in terms of food, drinks and ambience. Be with friends, or be alone ( yep! I was a lone ranger) this oasis in the mid of a bustling city can shake off your worries. Torched Salmon is perfect if you wanna cheat a lil bit in your diet. It will give you the right amount of protein and carbo that you need. Being a sweet tooth, I can't let the night pass without having dessert. The Matcha Ice cream dessert made me remember Japan all of the sudden. Perfect to conclude your gastronomic desire. #hopsandbrews
Hops & Brews is a cafe that turns to a speakeasy bar at night, situated along Makati Ave, in I'm Hotel. With a long list of beers and cocktails with great food match is a consideration for this place. The whole kitchen team was brilliant to create their 'best of the worlds' menu that offers a mix of everything. We started of with the Lamb Keso Fundido, Chicken Karaage, and Gambas Al Ajillo. The Lamb Keso Fundido was my favorite for the appetizer. Lamb ragout cooked to just perfectly soft then topped with bechamel and cheese. We finished cleaning the whole plate with its bread. The Gambas and Karaage was the usual, but the karaage was fried to crisp, served with a soy mayo dip that made it a nice bar chow. Pork Belly Croissants was their French inspired Pork Cuapao bun, but in a croissant. The pork was braised to the point that the fat was gelatinous topped with pickled veggies. It lacks a bit of the pickled veggies that would make it a Banh Mi x Cuapao x Croissant sandwich. Sardines Aglio Olio is as simple as it is. No frills, perfectly seasoned pasta tossed in olive oil, garlic, and Spanish sardines. Galbi Jjim is another highlight. Super soft Beef Short Ribs over Kimchi Rice. The beef was slightly on the sweeter side, but braised tender and perfectly balanced with the kimchi rice. 'Shalang Pares is another upscaled Pares. Perfectly cooked pares accompanied with roasted garlic and roasted bone marrow. It's their way of presenting a late night snack of pares in bulalo, served with rice on the side. They also served world class desserts both their own concoctions and from the hotel. Try the cheesecake, its the BEST! With the culinary scene in Makati has been going up and continue to brew up some new concept, Hops and Brews is here to give you a taste of the world. #TheFoodCrawlers #SplatMNL #OngsFoodprints
