This is one of the oldest mess in madurai and situated at the street where i spent my childhood happily.Though the management is changed they continue to offer quality meals at affordable rates.Accessing this place is little difficult but once you reach and start eating you will forget the ordeal of reaching

We went there after just arriving at Madurai. It was a great start to our Madurai trip. Food was very tasty. I really liked their Avial and Korambu of the lot. It is very easy on pocket as well.

Food quality is excellent like home made. Cost is less than Rs.100. Food was served in Plantain leaf and service is very good.

Madurai was a place I always wanted a visit. Along with a visit to the famous Meenakshi Temple and the Gandhi Museum, our to do list included tasting authentic pure vegetarian food, purchasing Sungudi sarees, tasting Jigarthanda and buying Madurai Malligai. I am glad to report that we were able to do all the things listed above except Jigarthanda. We were too full most of the time to have a heavy sweet drink. Sriram Mess was the highly recommended place for our vegetarian lunch and the food lived up to its reputation. Simple, tasty and served on banana leaves, as it should be. I recommend it to all visitors wanting decent vegetarian fare.
