Pho #89 - Madison

Awesome. We went in early on a Friday evening. I had the Pho with steak (P11 or 12) and some Thai tea. I couldn't stop eating it. It was served hot and came out in a timely matter. We also had the (clear wrapper) spring rolls and mixed seafood clay pot. All fresh and very flavorful. The cigar smoke didn't bother me as I sometimes smoke cigars. In review, VERY GOOD Pho. If you haven't been, go.

If you can overlook the cigarette odor that seeps in from the neighboring establishment, I recommend dining in. The staff is friendly and incredibly attentive. However, if the smell bothers you, it's best to place a takeout order or call ahead, as it seems most patrons prefer to eat their meals elsewhere. Eating in has its perks, though; you'll receive complimentary fruit and a fortune cookie for dessert.

I had the pork spring rolls, and they were excellent. The curry seafood was delicious too, although it wasn't as spicy as I would have preferred. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasantly quiet.

Easily the best pho in town. Any of the meat options are delicious, but personally any with the fat brisket is the way to go. As for starters, the spring rolls are solid, and on the drinks front, they have rather good Vietnamese coffee.
