Contribuiți la feedbackIf you are from Lahore and craving the nostalgic taste of Dahi Bhala from Barkat Market or Samanabad, you must visit Luton and try the Dahi Bhala at this restaurant! During my three-week trip to the UK, I found myself returning to this place at least 5 times. It's a must-try dish! I cannot comment on the other food options as I only tried the Dahi Bhala.
This restaurant is not visually appealing at all. It's not a fancy dining establishment, but that's no excuse for it to be unkempt. The staff member behind the counter stared at us until I placed my order. We ordered 2 papri chat, 3 Chapati, 2 cans of drinks, and Deer Curry. The place was dirty, the floor sticky, and the menu was taped to the wall. Our table was not cleared at all, and there were no bins in sight, forcing a customer to eat next to the trash. The papri chat arrived quickly and tasted good for the price of £3 per bowl. However, the Deer Curry was boney and overpriced. I had to question the staff if the meat was actually deer, as it looked and tasted like beef. The service was terrible overall, with other customers also complaining. The only redeeming factor was the tasty papri chat, earning the place one star. I hate to sound negative, but this was my honest experience. Unfortunately, the area is known for having bad food establishments.
We really enjoyed the food, it had a great Lahori flavor. The service could use improvement. They have a wide variety of dishes at reasonable prices and everything tasted delicious.
For those who love Pakistani food,a small place in Luton Bury Park Road, but has excellent food. I have never tasted such rich taste away from my home country. I tried Krela gosht, Poori Halwa, Biryani and I give 5 stars to it! I must say that the chef has love of food. Best thing I like about this place is every food has a different taste unlike other restaurants who cook every food in same curry. I visit this place once a week for sure now A very happy customer. Highly recommended!!!
Best lamb shank and sheesh kebab with the wholemeal paratha..heavenly taste. Shouldn't miss the taste if you in Luton.
