Angeli Bar Ristorante Pizzeria - LUCCA

This restaurant had an eclectic vibe to it. The food was great, though during our visit the choices were somehow limited but were exceptional nonetheless. The atmosphere is very conducive for having a good night out with friends; have a nice dinner then some drinks. This place being in the middle of the City of Lucca just makes it more special.

Wow what a meal. A random choice midweek in Lucca and scored the prize of an amazing meal matched to lovely local wine. Even the dog child was welcomed. Nicely paced meal. Not slow but not rushed either. A very welcoming atmosphere and ambience. The dessert was not quite there. Tasted a little like a frozen cheesecake rather than a semifreddo but tasted good.

Cannot fault the service, food or drinks here. It was so good, we chose to dine here on both of our two nights in Lucca. The wine is amazing, but the chef's self infused gins are so good that there aren't any words to describe them. The food and anti-pasti plates are also the best I've eaten in Italy to far. They were very accommodating and had gluten free options for my mother who is celiac. The service was personal and attentive, we will definitely be back!
