My favorite place in downtown LA for a business lunch. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and the food never disappoints.

A wonderful casual dining experience in the heart of Downtown LA. Inbetween two major shopping areas, across from the 7th/Metro subway station. Very zen decor and feel, dimmed lighting at night, cocktail lounge and sushi bar in rear. Food is fresh, tasty, good service and a good bang for the buck! Menu has good selection with variety: sushi, meals, soups and plenty of California rolls. Rainbow Roll and Late Night Party rolls are packed with flavor! Look forward to our next visit...

Everything was fine but it appeared there was one server for the entire lounge area. So that meant one waits to get served or long intervals Edie’s the server could get back to you. I ditched my reservation to take advantage of the happy hour so I’m not talking regular table service.

Wokcano has always served as a reliable backup option for us. If we can't think of anywhere else to go, we head to this place. The atmosphere is dim and romantic, and while the staff are quite busy, they are attentive if you need assistance. So it’s not a problem that they often have a full house. The food is fantastic; if you’re unsure about what to order, the menu offers a wide variety of choices. They feature a sushi bar, a hot stove kitchen, and Japanese-style BBQ.
