The restaurant offers a wide selection of delicious Cajun dishes, including tasty catfish, shrimp po'boys, oysters, chicory coffee, and more. All of the food I tried was excellent. It's a treat to enjoy authentic New Orleans cuisine in Los Angeles, far from Louisiana.
This restaurant is fantastic with welcoming staff and delicious food. It's a convenient choice if you're in Chinatown. Plus, it even gets a shoutout in Michael Connolly's latest book.
Got takeout prior to watching an opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and ordered online for pickup. We got a muffuletta as well as the seafood platter to split among four of us. The muffuletta was very heavy on the bread and not so much on the meat. I enjoyed the seafood platter more, which came with fried oysters, catfish, shrimp, and fries. They gave us remoulade, tartar sauce, and ketchup on the side. Credit cards accepted. Counter service if you dine in. Street parking. Employees were friendly.
I had the blackened shrimp po'boy with a crown. This was a giant sandwich filled to the brim with spicy sautéed shrimp. This was absolutely hands down the best po'boy I've ever eaten. This sandwich was so large I saved half for dinner the next day.
