The bar is located in the Freehand Hotel, right by the check-in area. There's also an alternative entrance through the "Paper 8" shop, or you can enter via the Freehand Hotel to access the Broken Shaker LA. I was really looking forward to trying a creative tea-infused cocktail since it's something I hardly ever see on bar menus. When I arrived, I was informed that these cocktails are seasonal, but the bartender, Alex, was enthusiastic and clearly passionate about his craft. He asked me a few questions about my preferences and crafted the most personalized cocktail I've ever had in my 32 years. For the record, the drink was called "Blood, Sweat, and Tears." It contained lemon oils, bergamot bitters, rosemary, Earl Grey tea, protein, simple syrup, lemon juice, and Ford gin, all finished with a twist of lemon peel and a purple edible flower. Beyond the drink's exceptional quality, it was truly delightful to spend time with someone so eager to share their passion for mixology. I highly recommend stopping by!
I love the mood here. it is not their typical bar and serves tee inspired cocktails (think minze tee in a minze julep) along the usual classic. the mood here is a small key and beneficial for talks against obsession. they should see if they love beautiful decoration, drinks to share, and a chill vibe.
The bar at Freehand Hotel has a unique vibe! One of their most interesting offerings is the tea cocktails – definitely worth a try! They also have a happy hour menu.
Antique aesthetic with tea-infused drinks. Today was slow around 4pm but had a great drink experience nonetheless. Had the Live Wire which was fizzy and fresh.
