Pomodoro Trattoria Pizzeria

We visited Pomodoro on a Saturday night, which is typically a busy time for the restaurant. My mother ordered a NY steak and was very clear in requesting it to be “pink in the middle,” especially since she had previously received an overcooked steak. When her steak arrived, she cut into it and found it to be well-cooked, with only a tiny bit of pink in the center. When we spoke to the manager about this, he not only refused to take back the steak for a replacement, but he also argued with her, insisting that it was indeed pink, and therefore she got what she ordered. I was shocked to see a manager argue with a customer, and he kept saying that he was “so busy” that he couldn’t accommodate her request for a new steak. Personally, I don’t patronize restaurants that treat their customers this way. We won’t be returning to Pomodoro again.

I noticed someone mentioned that the NY Strip Steak was not cooked correctly, and honestly, I had no idea she even had steak on the menu (it must be a special). I've never encountered this issue, nor have I seen Davide or Tino be rude to anyone. It's unfortunate that someone had a bad experience, but I assure you it's not the norm here. Personally, I believe you can gauge a restaurant by its regulars, and Pomodoros certainly has many familiar faces that I see every time I visit. I always bring visitors and friends here, and they quickly become regulars too. The food is amazing, the prices are great, and it’s a perfect spot for a date!

This is our favorite restaurant in our new neighborhood. It's small and charming, giving off a cozy, family-owned vibe. They offer ten different types of gnocchi, and each one is incredible. The wine list is very affordable as well. Plus, they serve the best tiramisu I've ever tasted – even better than what I had in Italy!
