Plateia at UCLA - Los Angeles

It took about 15 minutes to recognize us. I had to ask for a waiter. we ordered everything at once and our drinks probably took 20 minutes and our appetizers probably took 40 minutes. the suppe was burned and I had to send her back. no great experience. not sure whether they were simply overworked or the fact that they did not be out of the cost mai effect service.

Plateia was as usual wonderful. the pumpkin cake was particularly tasty.

It was great today, good service, good food, especially burger and quiet.

Had reservations… good thing since it was packed. Service was great. Food was good… didn’t mind paying for it. They discourage tipping.. that was fine… I’m glad they seem to pay their staff well.

I really enjoy this restaurant! The only thing I would suggest is adding more comfort food options. For example, a grilled cheese sandwich with American or pepper jack cheese on rye bread or a good quality bread. It would be great to see some nightly specials like roast chicken with baked potatoes or classic mac and cheese. Mixing up the menu a bit would cater to both students and the general public. A change in the menu is always refreshing!
