The cheese, pizza, pasta and wine are all amazing. Burrata is to die. This place gives you a small taste of Italy.
A great place to have an Italian business, I recomend the bolognese! The service was also excellent!
It's true that the prices can be a bit high for a full dinner, but in my opinion, the price is justified by the quality of the food. The Burrata and Prosciutto are absolutely heavenly and decadent (just like the ricotta mousse dessert), and even the regular mozzarella is extraordinary—not just any store-bought cheese but authentic water buffalo mozzarella imported from Campania. Regardless of the mozzarella tasting platter, which features a selection of cheeses and a variety of charcuterie meats and vegetables, it’s perfect for two people who aren’t big eaters, making the price per person quite reasonable. Recently, I shared one with a salad, a dessert, and a drink each for about $35 per person. This is a great deal for lunch as you can opt for a lunch-sized tasting or one of their sandwiches (with a side salad) for just over $15. Their sandwiches are what initially drew me in, especially my favorite croissant sandwich with Prosciutto and Mozzarella from back in 2012. The pizza is also a delightful surprise; most options are relatively simple but focus on the mozzarella paired with a selection of meats or vegetables. The three pizzas I’ve tried were all very good; the tomato sauce is light and savory, and it tastes significantly fresher than most sauces I remember. The cheeses pair beautifully with the other toppings. The crust is light and thin, with just the right amount of crunch, though it's a bit on the softer side, which can make it challenging to handle. The trick is to fold the larger-than-usual slices, New York style. Overall, I highly recommend this place to fans of mozzarella and authentic Italian cuisine. I don’t understand how anyone could be disappointed in the service or the quality of the food, and I genuinely believe you won’t regret it.
The food was absolutely delicious! We tried the truffle burrata, 'nduja pizza, croquettes, and butternut squash soup. Naturally, being good Italians, we enjoyed some Aperol spritz in the afternoon as well. Overall, the service was excellent, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Seated highly recommends this as a relaxed, casual spot—it's definitely a great place to have a meal before heading to a movie!
I might hesitate to recommend the arancini. While I understand this is a mozzarella-focused restaurant, the cheese filling was a bit overwhelming, and the tomato ragu served alongside could have used more traditional peppery flavor. Additionally, the arancini were slightly over-fried. (Having grown up near a large Italian community, I admit I'm particular about arancini.) We each enjoyed a glass of Italian red wine that we found excellent. Overall, the majority of the staff that evening were friendly and genuinely eager to ensure we had a great experience, with one noticeable exception.
