Contribuiți la feedbackWe came here for the nigiri omakase and we loved it! As a very picky sushi eater, the fish was wonderful and great quality for the more affordable price. Chef and the staff were very friendly. We would come back for the signature omakase next time and highly recommend everyone support Sushi Takeda!Food: 5/5

Sushi Takeda Little Tokyo, Los AngelesLunch Review: Saturday, 10/23/21Nigiri Omakase: $100Open for less than a year, Sushi Takeda is one of the newest high end sushi bars in Los Angeles.Behind the counter is Owner/Chef Hideyuki Takeda. Considered one of the most skilled sushi chefs in the city, he was the Executive Chef at Sushi Tsujita prior to opening Sushi Takeda. During his time at Sushi Tsujita, Chef Hide was serving arguably the best Omakase in Los Angeles. A personal favorite, Chef Hide has served me some of the best sushi I've had outside of Japan.Taking over the former Mako Sushi space on the third level of Weller Court, Sushi Takeda is currently open Tuesday Saturday. Dinner options include the (1) Signature Omakase priced at $250 per person and the (2) Nigiri Omakase priced at $120 per person. Lunch comes in a little cheaper at $100 per person for the Nigiri Omakase. Note that you are only guaranteed sushi bar seating with the Signature Omakase, so if you make a reservation for the Nigiri Omakase, call to confirm sushi bar availability if that is important to you. What's so special? Sushi Takeda serves only the highest quality seafood, the majority of which coming directly from Tokyo's Toyosu Market. Meticulously sourced, each fish is individually aged, cured, marinated, and prepared to perfection. Having gone through years of fine tuning, Chef Hide's rice (shari) is also some of the best you'll ever try. Between the seasoning, texture, density, consistency, and temperature, no detail is too small. Top notch knife skills and presentation enhance the experience. In a city filled with premium sushi bars, Sushi Takeda is definitely in the very top tier. Very few places are comparable. Each piece of nigiri from my meal was well balanced and flavorful. The Katsuo (Skipjack Tuna) was my favorite of the Omakase. As always, service was also extremely friendly and accommodating. I firmly believe this restaurant will earn a Michelin Star in next year's guide. Chef Hide is more than deserving.
I recently visited this restaurant and I must say, their sushi was amazing! also conveniently located which makes it an ideal spot to grab lunch or a dinner. We are definitely looking forward to visiting again. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Omakase in LA.
