After a short waiting period we have menus and ordered our drinks. wait, they came and we were told to a waitress that we immediately take our order. not. after 2 other tables, 2 round drinks plus their meals are obtained. I went back to the bar to order our food. we shouldn't have been in the middle of nowhere. hungry lets you do strange things. When our food finally arrived, it was good, but our beer was warm now. lower line it was obvious...when they wore leather, ridden a bike or a horse. they have a fast friendly service. all others not. we observe 2 groups (less hungry than we go instead of waiting)? hate double standards!
Historic old hotel and bar where you enter through swinging wooden doors, takes you back in time, how charming! The staff are great, food is good, people are friendly, and this place is packed on weekend afternoons hikers, bikers, and more!
We stop here every time we go tru. Nicole has served us every time and she’s awesome. There were 8 of us and everyone had really good food and drinks. We spent a few hours as we were staying across the street and had a great visit with the owner. I highly recommend trying the local vodka from Eau Claire called Prickly Pear Equine Ox, soo good just over ice.
I do multi-day backpacking adventures in Kananasksis. I stop here for a bite to eat after every trip. I've even gone 40 km out of my way to come here after some trips because the food and the atmosphere is so good. I love to sit outside on their patio. It's a toss up between the steak sandwich and the Longview burger as far as which one is my favorite. I love their beers. The only draw back is their limited selection for vegetarians. My friend had the cheese quesadilla and it was average. If you're doing a ride in the country south of Calgary this is a worthwhile stop.
Wall to wall women here but I'm watching the Raptors game. Twin Cities is the best bar in Alberta.
