Durham's Pit Bbq - London

This place is absolutely worth a little drive past all the fast food options. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and quickly taken care of; I was back on my way in just 5-10 minutes. The brisket was thickly sliced and some of the best I've ever tasted—perfectly smoky and seasoned just right. The pulled pork portion was generous and also among the best I've had, and I've tried plenty of BBQ. The beans and coleslaw were excellent, with just the right portions. I'll definitely be returning!

What a hidden gem! This restaurant is definitely worth the detour off I-75. I'm envious of anyone who lives near this amazing BBQ spot. As soon as we stepped out of our Jeep, the smoky aroma from the pit drew us in. The ribs were absolutely delicious—packed with excellent smoky flavor and a hint of black pepper that made sauce unnecessary! The pork nachos were also fantastic, featuring sturdy chips that held up perfectly under a generous layer of tasty pulled pork. You can customize your toppings with options like chopped onions, fresh cilantro, lettuce, pickled jalapeños, sour cream, and your choice of either melted nacho cheese sauce or shredded cheddar!

We were thoroughly impressed by this restaurant. As a vegetarian, I typically only have side options at BBQ places, but they offer a delicious jackfruit dish. The collard greens are also vegetarian, and all the sides are too, except for the beans. My husband really enjoyed his brisket, and we couldn't get enough of the three sauces available on the tables. We shared a slice of peanut butter pie, which was fantastic as well. This spot is definitely worth the detour off I-75; I just wish they had a location in Lexington!

Worth the stop! Right away we were greated by a Gentleman that you could tell enjoyed what he was doing. With not being there before he gave us a run down of the menu and didn't rush us to decide what we wanted. We got the 3 meat (Chicken, Brisket and Meatloaf) platter and shared it. The meat was so tender! We got The Mac Cheese, Baked Beans and Apples it was all delicious. We also got the Nachos to try and they were good. Everything we had was on point! We will definitely stop again if we are in the area! We stopped here because of the reviews and it did not disappoint! We were even there within an hour of closing.

The BBQ and sides are fantastic. Great texture, right amount of smoke. The salad was a generous portion and had plenty of egg, peas, and other toppings on the blend of different lettuces. The restroom cleanliness was not optimal.
