I could see why the place was full of working Catalans and retired couples for a weekday lunch. There was a good choice of Catalan dishes, all simple foods cooked well. I will recommend this to anyone heading out to the coast on the C65.
This is road restaurant on the way from Girona to Platja d'Aro. The service is slow and little amicable. We ordered grilled meat and it was overcooked. In just a few words, overpriced and do not accept credit cards.
Driving from France to Platja d 'Aro, we exited the autoroute too soon and decided to continue on the national road. It was well past 15:30 and my husband noticed this restaurant as we passed it. He turned around and suggested we eat there (Personally I wanted to wait until we reached Platja d 'Aro) Originally we were told no, but as we where leaving a woman came out and instructed the young man to clean and reset a table. I believe we were the only non Spanish clients. The tab,Es were full of customers still. The menu was in many languages. Simple and extremely reasonably priced. We started with grilled asparagus and chicken croquettes. Simple and perfect for sharing. My husband and I ordered the lamb shoulder and our son an entrecôte. The lamb shoulder was perfect! Deliciously cooked, flavorful and very tender. My sons steak was 'delicious ' (his own words) and larger than the plate. We had a bottle of mineral water, a bottle of rosé and my son a Coke. We skipped dessert, although there seemed to be a nice choice, just because we were full! The bill came to a modest 62,00 euros! I am glad my husband did a u-turn to go back there! I would return in a second!
Muy buena cocina con excelentes precios, un lugar para repetir. También muy excelente para desayunos.
Hace años que lo conozco y es excelente en todos los sentidos
