Mumtaj Indian Restaurant - Lismore

Lovely that Mumbai is back and serving it's delicious food after the recent devastating Lismore flood. My friend says the gin from nearby Murwillumbah that they serve here is the best she's tasted.

Three days after the devastating floods in Lismore, friends and I Dinned at MumTaj. Fantastic meal, great service and you would never have guessed the entire restaurant was underwater less than a week previously. The meals are made fresh to order so you might wait a touch longer than a prepared meal at other restaurants but it's worth the wait. The meal sizes are not generous but are rich so that is probably for the best. The deco is tasteful and minimal with some lovely scattered items of art I would recommend.

Mumtaj is one of my favourite restaurants in Lismore! I always leave full and the price is great! $10 lunches!!!

Have never had a bad meal here and the staff have great customer service skills. Our go-to eatery in Lismore for dinner.

I have been coming here for years and always have the same thing when I am on my own - spicey dahl and naan! The owner is lovely and I really enjoy it when she is around (less often these days it seems). The new premises are nice and they have Stone and Wood on tap! Definitely worth a visit if you are in town and looking for a spicy curry!
