Mr.thoms - Lisburn

I stopped by to order a single portion of cod, as I usually do. It arrived in about 8 minutes, which is the usual wait time. The portion was not as large as usual, but it was still a decent size and came with a dozen free chips. The fish was very fresh, flaky, and delicious. The cost was £6.50, which is reasonable considering the current inflation. The staff were friendly, efficient, and down-to-earth as always. Overall, I have no complaints and would recommend this place. It is also clean.

I have frequently ordered takeout food from this restaurant, but the food I received last week was terrible. The chicken burger had too much batter and very little chicken, which was overcooked and crispy. The fish dish also had mostly batter, and the chips were cold and seemed as though they had been left sitting in a warm cabinet. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I thought about calling to inform them of the issue, but decided against it as I believed they wouldn't do anything to fix it.

I was craving a portion of cod and drove a few miles to come here. I ordered over the phone and it was almost ready when I arrived. I requested ketchup on the side, but was told there would be an extra charge of £0.50. I declined to pay the extra fee, as ketchup is usually included for free with your meal. The lady ended up giving it to me for free in the end. This left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. However, the food at this restaurant is delicious and it seems to be getting more popular. I highly recommend it. The portion of fish was quite large and for £4.95, it was worth it. They even threw in about twelve chips.

Been a while since I been here. It was Easter Sunday night and they were open until 11pm. I got a plaice and a battered sausage at £5.05 that is reasonable. The plaice was good and decent size. The battered sausage had nice non greasy batter but was a bit anemic inside. But overall it was a satisfying meal with about 12 free chips thrown in. Service was quick and friendly. It is a busy place. Try it.

Just after a cheese burger and chips from mr Thoms. Absolutely great. Don't listen to those fussy ones who can't cook and don't know good chippy food lol.
